Security & access control

Security cameras, access control and intercom in Nassau, Bahamas

See who is at the gate, let in the housekeeper from abroad and review camera footage from your phone. We design security systems that are easy to live with and built for the island.

What we do

Good security is quiet. Cameras cover the approaches without turning the house into a fortress, the gate opens for the people you expect, and you get an alert only when something matters. For owners who spend part of the year away, the ability to check the property and let in a caretaker from a phone is the difference between worrying and relaxing.

We design and install camera systems, access control, smart locks and video intercoms for residences and commercial spaces across New Providence, and we integrate them with Control4 so security is part of everyday scenes rather than a separate system to learn.

What’s included

  • Security cameras. High-resolution cameras with local recording, remote viewing and intelligent alerts for people and vehicles.
  • Video intercom. See and speak to visitors at the gate or door from your phone or a touch screen, and let them in remotely.
  • Access control and smart locks. Keypads, cards, fobs and app-based locks, with individual codes for staff and guests and a log of who came and went.
  • Gate and garage integration. Gates and garage doors controlled from the same app and included in Away and Welcome scenes.
  • Network and power design. Cameras on a dedicated network segment with UPS backup so recording continues through outages.
  • Commercial systems. Cameras and access control for offices, retail and hospitality, with staff access schedules.

How we work

How we approach security, access control and intercom

  1. Plan coverage, not camera count

We walk the property to identify approaches, entry points and blind spots, then place cameras to cover them with the right lens, not simply to add more cameras.

  2. Keep recordings local and private

Footage is stored on a recorder in the home, with secure remote viewing. You decide who has access.

  3. Make it usable

Alerts are tuned so you are not flooded with notifications. Door codes, schedules and scenes are set up for your household and staff.

Good to know in the Bahamas

  • Second homes and absentee owners. Remote viewing, intercom and access control let you manage visitors and contractors from anywhere. Our guide to securing a second home from abroad goes into detail.
  • Salt, sun and rain. Exterior cameras and intercoms need corrosion-resistant housings, proper sealing and sensible placement under eaves where possible.
  • Storm readiness. Recorders and network gear on UPS and surge protection keep the system running and recording during and after storms.

Frequently asked questions

Can I view my cameras from overseas?

Yes. Secure remote viewing works from anywhere with an internet connection, and alerts can be sent to your phone.

Do you work with existing cameras or alarm systems?

Often, yes. We assess what is in place and recommend whether to integrate, upgrade or replace.

Can staff have their own access codes?

Yes. Individual codes or fobs can be limited to certain doors, days and hours, and removed instantly when no longer needed.
